Civil War Pictures
This cabinet, donated by the GAR when they disbanded, has over 130 pictures of some of the Civil War veterans from Poweshiek County. Some wives are also pictured. The GAR also donated 130 volumes of The War of the Rebellion, a compilation of the official records of the Union and Confederate armies. Download below to see pictures and stories of individual veterans. Work in progress more to come!
